Sustainability. 10 Points.

‘Green’ is a good start, but we are also forging a sustainable business guided by these points.

• Our products are comfortable, durable, reparable, handsome, and not-too-expensive (but not cheap!)

• Production is extremely low-waste, local and efficient (0.00 to 0.06 is left from each sheet of plywood or plastic).

• Materials are environmentally sound and structurally solid (we use recycled and recyclable plastics and the best sustainable plywood).

• Methods are the best of the old and the new (computer-controlled routers plus sharp hand tools).

• We pay decent wages and offer training, suitable jobs and good working conditions.

• Warehousing and storage is minimal (most products are made-to-order).

• Delivery minimizes and reuses packing materials (as much as possible, we use straps and moving blankets, not plastic wrap and bubbles).

• Shipping is flat (plus, as we branch out to more small shops we eliminate shipping).

• Assembly is simple, pleasant and sturdy (few parts and no loose hardware).

• Our products offer years and years of pleasure (we stand behind everything we make!)
